The Role
Based at our Kwinana Grain Terminal, this role plays a key part in fostering a safe and compliant working environment across our Operations team. Working closely with leaders and frontline employees, you will provide expert health and safety advice, coaching and support, helping to drive injury prevention initiatives, strengthen safety culture and ensure legislative compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with operational leaders to provide timely and practical health and safety advice and guidance.
- Support the implementation of initiatives that prevent workplace injuries, illness and harm.
- Coordinate and facilitate hazard identification, risk assessments and risk control activities.
- Provide technical support in the development and review of Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
- Develop, deliver and evaluate health and safety training programs.
- Lead and support workplace incident investigations using the ICAM methodology.
- Monitor compliance with operational control requirements and safety standards.
- Analyse and report on injury and illness data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
About You
- A Certificate IV or higher qualification in Work Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in a health and safety role within an operational or industrial environment.
- Demonstrated experience providing safety leadership, coaching and mentoring to leaders and employees.
- Strong knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and its practical application in the workplace.
- Experience conducting risk assessments, incident investigations and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
